Bugzilla Code Definitions

Thursday November 11th, 1999

Those of you who submit bugs via bugzilla may have noticed that the summary fields contain codes in brackets. A new page, code definitions for bugzilla has appeared on the mozilla.org website, and it lists all the codes and their meanings, and where you'll find them within a bug entry.

Thanks to Jan Leger of the QA team for the news.

Cool, now I don't have to guess anymore. And I did not know that you write Shockwave with two "AA" :-)

The use of all these `code definitions' is is only a workaround to a problem with Bugzilla -- it doesn't support `flags' for specific bug types.

A RFE has been filed to add this feature to Bugzilla. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11155
