I am a great fan of the Mozilla effort. But the media have some justification for their skepticism. Why should Mozilla be delayed so the team can add new features to AIM? A more rational organization would have the Mozilla team working on the core product and leaving this stuff to AOL developers. And time to market does count for something, unfortunately. I have been "locked in" to Mozilla, because I am a LINUX fanatic. But if there was another product ready to deploy, I would probably jump on it. All the same, I look forward to the final release of a Mozilla product. I just wish AOL didn't have so much power to screw around with it.
