QT Mozilla Port Checked In

Friday August 20th, 1999

The initial work on the QT toolkit port of mozilla has been checked in. No screenshots yet, but this is a good first step. As you may recall, work was done porting to QT with the classic Mozilla code, but this work utilizes Gecko and the new codebase.

Thanks to Steve Morrison (from our chromeZone) and arielb for the news.

I think that Qt can replace GTK+ in these cases, as AFAIK Qt is well tested in a lot of platforms.

Only problem I can see is interoperability with other apps, e.g. drag and drop, as older Motif applications do not seem to have a standard way of doing it.
