Will Navigator Get Its Own Dialup Service?
Wednesday May 19th, 1999
Joel Caris has this news:
"An interesting News.com article that talks about, among other things, possible plans to set up a Netscape Internet access service hooked into Navigator (although they already have something along those lines in place through Qwest.)
I also found interesting the fact that My Netscape is the most popular personal page service, with 55 million daily page views. I think I know why that is (open channel system.)"

OK a bit has been said about foreign users here, and how they're all so completely left out of the AOL/Netscape scheme-of-things, so I thought I'd set a couple of things straight.
Firstly, I'm "foreign". I live in Africa, that's about as foreign and 3rd-world as you can get. 56K modems, never mind cable or DSL, are cutting-edge around here.
Secondly, I use My Netscape -- it provides me with SlashDot, 2 TechNews channels, MozillaZine, Mozilla (although I wish they'd mention on the Mozilla channel when a new status update is available *grumble* ) and of course, the Netscape Channel.
And thirdly, you don't have to select the weather and movie listings and all that crap. Just get the good stuff =)
