Will Navigator Get Its Own Dialup Service?

Wednesday May 19th, 1999

Joel Caris has this news:

"An interesting News.com article that talks about, among other things, possible plans to set up a Netscape Internet access service hooked into Navigator (although they already have something along those lines in place through Qwest.)

I also found interesting the fact that My Netscape is the most popular personal page service, with 55 million daily page views. I think I know why that is (open channel system.)"

Maybe for 5.0 they'll even figure out whether the Location field is the Netsite field or the Location field. I have 4.6 128 bit, and it's Netsite, and my sister has 4.6 56 bit, and it's Location. HELLO NETSCAPE! I'm editing a Dummies book now that includes a chapter on Communicator and I have to put Location/Netsite bar on everything because they STILL haven't figured out which one to use! Does it make sense to anybody else? How else is the 128 bit different? Will they decide for 5.0 I hope? (I like Netsite over Location, personally).
