TopStyle Beta Now AvailableMonday May 17th, 1999The CSS Editor TopStyle is now in beta, and available here. TopStyle is one of the first applications on the market to utilize Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine. If you have a Windows system, give it a spin. Thanks to Raphaël Marée for the news. I thought NeoPlanet was the first to embed Gecko. Not everyone can be first now... Hey! no one has yet to sell or produce a "usable" product with Gecko so far. All have been just betas. Tell me when Gecko is available in a released product not beta/alpha, and I don't want to wait till omega. He says that TopStyle is 'one of the first' applications to use Gecko... and that is entirely correct. He also says "on the market". I don't consider beta versions to be "on the market"! TopStyle is on the market and it supports both the IE rendering engine and Gecko. May I suggest a refresher course in english composition at your local community college to help your literary woes. Looks like I need a refresher course as well... I forgot the question mark! ;) Usable product, owen ... hmmm that would be one which you would use daily, or at least frequently, for your day-to-day needs, yes? Hey, guess what, Mozilla (in pre-beta phase!) passed THAT test on my machine long ago. GO MOZILLA! -=Yusuf=- Whether it was first or not it's still a cool editor (even in beta). Stylesheets are so damned difficult to get right that every web author needs a tool like this. I downloaded/installed it, but the Gecko Preview option is greyed out on my system. IE is the default. Make sure npmozctl.dll has been registered with regsvr32... and also be sure to add the path to npmozctl.dll to your PATH environment. Hope this helped.
oh shoot! where's the navigatorX browser? I was going to link to it arielb, are you referring to "Revenge of Mozilla" by any chance?? I am wondering about it, too. It sounds so cool! To ArielB: NavX will not be posted until it's *entirely* complete... I was receeiving way too many emails asking to add this... or add that... etc... To Zuperdee: Revenge of Mozilla is back up at http://www.silverlink.net/~jensenba/ You *must* use it in conjunction with 98Lite and you must be aware that *anything* requiring IE will no longer work... including Outlook Express, HTML Help, any program that uses IE for internal preview such as HomeSite or Eudora, etc...
