Irix 6.3 and Solaris 2.5.1 Builds Now AvailableTuesday May 4th, 1999That's right, ftp.mozilla.org now has binaries for two more systems. Just head on over to the nightly builds directory and look through the most recent directories. BTW, the tree has been reopened for M6 work, which means we should see an M5 release soon. Thanks to Roland Mainz for the news. I was suprised at how fast the Solaris 2.5.1 client was. I'm looking forward to a product I can use :-). Good work. and I just learned someone is working on an openvms port. Now if I can find someone working on win 3.11 then mozilla will be truly cross-platform Yeah, if someone is willing to do a win3.11 and mac 64k then we can claim mozilla is cross platform 68k. Yeah alot of companies still use win 3.11 so it's a big deal for them. heh I still use it on my 486 heheh.. typo I meant 68k Unfortunately, there's some unimplemented assembly language functions; this means that while binaries are being published, the probably don't run right now. Mips/Sparc assembly, anyone? If you'd like to help pick these platforms off the floor, and know (or would like to learn) some assembly: http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/xpcom/libxpt/xptcall/porting.html I want to port mozilla to my toaster... :) #8 Re:Irix 6.3 and Solaris 2.5.1 Builds Now Availableby SomeSmartAss Wednesday May 5th, 1999 12:03 PM Well then, maybe you should help SpaceCow with the Windows CE port. http://206.28.55.26/cemozilla.html As, I am sure, ol' Bill will find some irrefutable reason why toasters need a M$ operating system. hmm I see he updated the website. That's good news i386? alpha? mips? sparc? 68k? mac68k? someone doing that? |
