Netscape 7.2 Release Within the First Two Weeks of August
Friday July 30th, 2004
eWeek have obtained confirmation from AOL that Netscape 7.2 will be released in early August. AOL spokesperson Andrew Weinstein told eWeek that the new version will be available within the first two weeks of August. Previous speculation has centered around an August 3rd release but Weinstein says that this date is just the deadline for placing early CD orders. He also confirmed that Netscape 7.2 will be based on Mozilla 1.7 with "not a lot of additive features". However, eWeek mentions the possible inclusion of the Netscape Toolbar, which is currently only available for Internet Explorer. A screenshot from former Netscape employee Pascal Chevrel seems to confirm this.
Correction: Pascal Chevrel was never employed by Netscape. Oops.

To alot of people the netscape name means a hell of alot more than the mozilla name. I'd say mozilla is definetly the better product in my oppinion, but there are those that like the extra additions and then there are those that have no idea what Mozilla is.
