Two Mozilla Articles in German

Sunday April 18th, 1999

Patrick Goltzsch wrote in to tell us about two articles he wrote regarding Mozilla for German sites. The first article appears in Spiegel Online, the second in NETPOL Digest.

According to Patrick the title _Tote und Totgesagte_ "refers to the difference between dead people and those said to be dead. According to a German proverb the latter live longer. (There probably is an english equivalent, but I can't remember at the moment.)"

I wouldn't recommend using Altavista's Babelfish to translate these articles, unless you are looking for a good laugh. For example, the translation of the NETPOL article contains this intriguing phrase:

Mitchell Baker, freshly baked spokeswoman von Mozilla...

Freshly baked, eh?

The "Spiegel" article is full of faults (as far as I can judge this). They are just running after a "good" story.
