#6 RedHat Enterprise Linux Bug?

I've been using Thunderbird for quite sometime now, on both SuSE Pro Linux, and RedHat Enterprise Workstation. There is something weird that I have noticed on the RedHat box that I've never seen on other boxes (although, I do get more mail per day on it, but less mail per uptime), and that is that once in a while, it will simply stop receiving mail. I click "Get Mail" it seems successful, and nothing comes in, but if I restart it, then all of a sudden I have 20 or so e-mails coming in.
Has anyone else ever seen this? Ideas?
