Mozilla 1.8 Alpha 1 Released

mozilla.org today released the latest milestone of the Mozilla Suite and platform, 1.8 Alpha 1. This release is the first step towards a new milestone plan, outlined in an an earlier article. New in this release is a basic FTP upload UI, better Linux mouse support, and a number of other features. A more complete change log is also available. Builds are starting to become available on the FTP servers currently.

#28 1.7rc2 clunky so I'll give this a spin

1.7rc1 was fine but rc2 is clunky for me on linux. When a page is loading I can't do anything except hit the stop button. I can't close the tab. It's like the application 'blocks' when you make a request till it gets a response from the server - or you click stop, or it times out. So I'll move to 1.8a see if that's better, if not it'll be back to 1.7rc1 for me :)
