I've been waiting eagerly a looong time for this (and that gets tiring :) ). David Bienvenu, thank you very, very much for working on this.

Bad idea, why not treat it as a real beta version and wait till 1.0. It'll give everyone the time needed to hammer out the problems (extensions/plugins)

The mozilla CD is going to be shipping shortly after 1.7 final is released. The previous CD had a branch nightly build from shortly before Firefox 0.8.

The question is whether to have 0.8 on this CD, or whether a Firefox 0.9 build (final or not) will be ready in time. Now that we're a couple of weeks on from that time, I think it's clear that 0.9 isn't going to be ready, so I guess the CD will ship with 0.8...
