Mozilla Backup 1.3a Released

Pavel Cvrcek (a member of CZilla team) wrote in to tell us that he has released Mozilla Backup 1.3a. This latest release automatically detects external profiles and adds better support for Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5.

I see that Mozilla Backup 1.3a backups the data of a current profile, but what about archiving? Suppose, e.g., I want to save old emails, but delete them from my mailboxes and folders. An automated way of going through these archives from within the current profile - in a way that would allow drag and drop to current folders - would be could. You can do this if you move stuff in and out of Thunderbird's mail directory carefully, but it's tedious. Any advice?
