Thursday March 4th, 2004
Vlad Dascalu writes: "The Bugzilla team released yesterday two new versions: the 2.17.7 developer snapshot, based on the CVS trunk, and the 2.16.5 stable version, based on the stable branch. Those releases cover 4 months of development since the previous versions and are available for download from the Bugzilla website.
"Bugzilla also released a new status update, which contains details about the releases and the upcoming features.
"Dave Miller, Bugzilla project leader, also posted in the status update details about the road towards Bugzilla 2.18. He provides details about the switch from a feature-driven release towards a date-driven release, with 6 months exactly between each freeze and a 'when it's ready' policy release after that.
"Also, Christian Reis and Eric S. Raymond have released an initial version of bugzilla-submit, a command-line utility to post new bugs to a Bugzilla installation, which is also available from the Bugzilla website."
