Editor of 'The Inquirer' Mike Magee Switches to Mozilla

Sunday February 29th, 2004

The Inquirer editor Mike Magee has switched to Mozilla. Magee, who also founded The Register, says that Mozilla 1.6 "is fast and has far better features than Internet Explorer, and far less drawbacks too." He particularly likes tabbed browsing but also gives nods to Mozilla's pop-up blocking, cookie and download managers, Bayesian spam filtering and ChatZilla. Thanks to Sonny Day, Kob, skyler sheppard, Ben, Dan, mariuz, Dev T and Gunnar for the news.

It's just online, as far as I know. The audience should be obvious from a look at the home page - it's techie news and gossip, and the audience is therefore techies. I'm sure that nearly all of the audience will be aware of Mozilla already. The notable thing is that a leading geek figure has switched.
