mozilla.org Status Update #223 (February 16, 2004)Monday February 16th, 2004The mozilla.org Status Update #223 (February 16, 2004) is now online. It includes news on Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, junk mail detection, browser data migration, popup blocking, SVG, new mail notification, permissions and more. I suggest holding 1.7 alpha until we get Talkback working. The pre-1.7a alpha trunk builds are crashing like mad. We need that Talkback data from 1.7a users to solidify 1.7b. Don't release 1.7a until Talkback works. Example of a crash bug. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232670 especially comment 3: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232670#c3 I now have it on good authority that Talkback is back in recent Seamonkey trunk builds. This is good news. Talkback will make 1.7 alpha. That's huge. To those who helped fix it, great work! Great to hear about Junk mail detection improvments and browser data migration! Excelent progress :) SVG is pretty cool too :) |
