Glad to finally here some download stats.
That's an awfull lot of download in ONE DAY not including the 30k of failures.
70K + all the other days and mirrors around (slashdot, bit torrent, etc.) I wonder what the actuall numbers of Firefox 0.8 downloads would be since it's release.

Perhaps the Moz guys should set up BitTorrents directly, and save their servers? That's why Bram wrote it, after all...

Major Corporate Sponsor? I wonder who that is... I'm curious if this has anything do to with additions to Primary Mirrors in http://www.mozilla.org/mirrors.html?

The corporate sponsor is AOL hence the california servers having an IP of 207.200.85.49, which whois.arin.net happily informs me is allocated to none other than "Netscape Communications Corporation". The return of ftp-mozilla.gftp-mozilla.netscape.com as an official server (thats its old name, and its been working for ages even tho it wasnt advertised) is good (imo) since it gives fairly consistent speeds, and will hopefully boost peoples opinion of the MF products (rather than them moaning about how long it takes to download stuff :p)

That's Oregon State, not University of Oregon. Sure wish my alma mater would provide a mirror, but alas...

Half of all downloads on the first day were by Idiot Exploiter users? Excellent! I only ever use IE to laugh at adverts and mangled pages and soforth - it's fair to say that's roughly 30,000 converts... in one day?!

You know, insulting them through their browser isn't going to help our cause...
