Firebird Help (if I said Mozilla Firebird you wouldn't know if I was talking about the website or browser) is really great for novices to advanced surfers.

I also like the new design, but I liked the other one a bit better, but than again blue and Firebird don't seem to fit in too well.

#6 New Locked stylesheet - should title bar not move?

by Waldo_2

Just wondering, but what thoughts does anyone have on the new Locked stylesheet? I think the name bar across the top and the table of contents should both have position: fixed; so they don't move, but that might just be me. If the title bar stretches from all the way left to all the way right (as opposed to from the end of the TOC edge to the far right), I think the title bar shouldn't move either. What's anyone else think?

The problem with your suggestion is that clicking on an "anchor link" (link pointing to a section of a document, e.g. <a href="#faq2.3">Jump to question 2.3</a>) will then result in the text to link to being placed behind the top bar. It would make all the links in the table of contents on pages useless.

Darn...it would have been an improvement - too bad it isn't possible.

Each page's main content could be embedded as the content of an object element or an iframe. Unfortunately, focus issues (scrolling) between the main page and the object/iframe might be a hassle.

I'm glad Phallus Help turned one year yesterday. It's always been a very useful website.

I hope that for the birthday, David has bought a less flashy shirt than the one he had a few months ago :P
