well, it's strange to find someone who doesn't knows this... Probably you'r joking :-P, but i'll answer it... The Mozilla Foundation was created as a non-profic organization to compense Netscape's death, so Mozilla could be completely independant from AOL. I'm not shure if it was on July 15, or some days before. After the foundation's creation, wasn't alegal entity.

Um, nonprofit and 501 (c)(3) are different things, and willl is most likely referring to the latter.
