The article makes no sense. Flash can do XML web services. Seems to be a fanboy type article.

Are there any good articles that explain how to get web services in Mozilla to work relibly? Do they work in Firebird?

I don't know if web services are in FireBird or not, depends how they build Gecko.

The demo app works in firebird, so I guess they decided to build the relevant bits.
