8Bit and 'Smart Computing' Examine Mozilla Firebird

Thursday October 2nd, 2003

Jake from 8Bit has posted a review of Mozilla Firebird, calling it "as fast mean and peppy as the[y] come." Amongst other features, the review praises Firebird's tabbed browsing, popup blocking, bookmark management and standards-compliance. Thanks to Adam Hauner of Czilla for the news (though Adam himself credits Henrik Gemal with finding the article).

Meanwhile, penwit writes: "Smart Computing magazine's website has a great article this month, featuring (and praising) Firebird, and they also promise to write more about it next month." You must be a Smart Computing subscriber to view the entire editorial, though non-subscribers can read the first few paragraphs for free.

Mozilla cannot stop other parties from calling their browser something other than its intended name.
