Linky 2.0.0 Released

Wednesday August 27th, 2003

Henrik Gemal wrote in to tell us that Linky version 2.0.0 has been released. Linky is an add-on for the Mozilla Application Suite and Mozilla Firebird that adds extra link-related items to the standard page context menu. It allows users to perform tasks such as opening all links on a page in new tabs or copying selected links to the clipboard.

linky is a fairly nice product, however the download all links does not work.

Nice extension - very useful. It would be good to allow it to be installed into the user profile as well as the system dir like other extensions (helps when continually upgrading firebird!).

You can install it into the user profile - it's been possible for as long as I can remember now.

Sorry, I forgot to mention how. (It's not intuitive.) When it asks if you want to install it to the chrome directory just click on Cancel - then it will ask you if you want to install it into your profile directory.

So would be for any extension. Therefore ages ago I have filled RFE: "need selection to install to system/user/profile" http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67148

Unfortunately, no progress in this front is made, afaik.
