Experimental Mozilla Sunbird Build Released for Windows

Sunday August 10th, 2003

On Thursday, the first experimental test build of Mozilla Sunbird for Windows was released. Previously, only Linux binaries of Sunbird have been available. Sunbird is a standalone version of Mozilla Calendar, similar to Mozilla Firebird (the standalone browser) and Mozilla Thunderbird (the standalone mail and newsgroups client).

Well the name would be Mozilla Hummingbird. ... But I am worried about some many confusing "bird" names even if they are used as code names for internal development, particularly now that mozilla is going to address the end users. I rather call Composer application Mozart. The whoile is a moor point anyway. if i recall correctly all mozilla apps will have very simple name: Moz Browser, Moz Mail, Moz Composer, Moz Calendar.
