Experimental Mozilla Sunbird Build Released for Windows

On Thursday, the first experimental test build of Mozilla Sunbird for Windows was released. Previously, only Linux binaries of Sunbird have been available. Sunbird is a standalone version of Mozilla Calendar, similar to Mozilla Firebird (the standalone browser) and Mozilla Thunderbird (the standalone mail and newsgroups client).

I'm curious about whether it makes a difference for the eventual move to Mozilla apps running off a common GRE, if we pursue the standalone vs. Firebird extension approach.
