XUL Essay

Dave Hyatt has put up a very nice essay on XUL (zool - the eXtensible User-interface Language). He describes the necessity for XUL, its relation to RDF, and compares the XUL/RDF UI description approach to HTML-based and serialized RDF approaches. For non-programmers, this is a great introduction to some of the underlying code processes of Mozilla, and how the UI is intertwined with the NGLayout rendering engine.
