Good question. I don't know; the only person who might be able to tell you is Dawn (<endico@mozilla.org>).

....because most of the Linux users just take the packages made for their distribution - i.e. Debian community might increase this number by a 100.000 .....

Compare this to over 25 millions downloads of Netscape 7.x. This is exactly why the Netscape name is needed.

I dunno if this link works, but if u do a search on download.com for Netscape 7.1, you'll see they've got 690K+ downloads so far. It's safe to say Netscape.com had at least double that? <http://download.com.com/3…l-2001&search=+Go%21+>

No, but I believe (unfortunately I don't know where I saw it) they did get more than a million in the first couple of days, which is double this figure for Mozilla's downloads over 3 weeks.

Previous commenter is off by an order of magnitude, but in downloads and browser impressions on sites, Netscape 6/7 has passed Mozilla by a factor of at least 10...

I have to go out of my way to get en_GB, and it comes from a third party site (Mozilla Anglicisation Page).

#15 GB localisation? No problem.

The only difference is it changes the name to "Mosilla" and every error window has the title "Ballocks!"
