Mozilla Foundation Accepting DonationsMonday July 21st, 2003The new Mozilla Foundation is now accepting donations from individuals and groups. Donations can be made by pressing the big button on the redesigned mozilla.org front page. Currently, a PayPal account is required to donate. Thanks to who cares, David Hallowell and Sébastien Delahaye for the news. I know people try to be upbeat, but here we are fighting our own war. If we don't pay up, who will? we'll also accept other forms of payment. please give us a few weeks to get that set up. bd please =) What would be really cool would be a function in Bugzilla that would enable a donator to donate some money for a specific bug (only reasonable bugs, not the one which would destroy Mozilla or something like that). And then when the bug is fixed the one who fixed it would collect the money. In this way some old and boring bugs would probably be fixed sooner. Will the Mozilla Foundation be registering in other countries so non-USians can also enjoy deducting their donations from their taxes? Just out of curiousity, why does PayPal list my $200 donation to the Mozilla Foundation on July 19th, 2003 as "Unclaimed?" Jack |
