THis is a very fine instruction on everything from pre-requistite to compiling. The instruction at Mozilla.org is kind of confusing with the pre-requistite and all of the file path and environment variables that don't work. I followed it form Mozilla.Org and Mozilla just blow up. So, I'm going to follow the instruction for Thunderbird, it should help. Hopefully! There is one thing I did not know from the Thunderbird's instruction, it said that you should but MG-Win before Cygwin in environemnt variables and file paths, etc.. I would never have figure out this problem in the first place.

Someone would need to split the one webpage instruction into a couple of webpages with one for Visual C++ and another for GCC. That would help.

maybe the build instructions were intentionally obfuscated so as to reduce strain on the cvs server
