I had notice this, I was gona mention it today, but I have been beeten to it!
never used firebird before--but of course i plan to switch after the fusion with mozilla. i was wondering how the extentions are gonna be organized, i mean, is there a common GUI widget to view/remove installed extensions?
this would be help app usability a lot, especially to unexpert users.

In the options dialog there is an extensions panel which allows you to disable/enable extensions and access their settings. Hopefully, there will be an uninstall button soon.
The uninstall functionality for extension was always going to be implemented for the next release since Mozilla 1.0.
Currently extension authors have to hack their own uninstallers.

Dave Hyatt says in a <a href="<http://weblogs.mozillazin…hives/2003_06.html#003491>">recent weblog posting</a>: <blockquote>"I hope to crank out extension uninstall before Firebird 1.0 comes out."</blockquote>
Currently you can view what extensions are available and enable/dissable them. Hayatt says by Firebird 1.0 he'll implement uninstall, but hopefully it will be sooner ;) As for a "common GUI widget to vew/install extensions. Clav's working on one now based off of Extension - Room. <http://downloads.mozdev.o…g/extensionroom/em/em.xpi> (download) <http://forums.mozillazine…org/viewtopic.php?t=13194> (Thread)
