mozdev Downtime Update

Friday June 6th, 2003

David Boswell writes: "Yesterday we unplugged the mozdev server and prepared to move it to the new hosting facility. In the process we discovered some issues with the hardware that we felt should be addressed before bringing the site back up. This maintenance will cause a short term delay, but this should make our production hardware more reliable. Our conservative estimate is that the site will be running in the new facility sometime on Monday, but we will do our best to get the site back again as soon as possible. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Once this is taken care of our next goal will be to work on raising enough in donations to purchase a new server for the site and to pay for the remaining year of hosting."

Update! David Boswell writes: "mozdev is back up. If anyone notices anything strange while using the site, send a message to feedback at mozdev.org. Thanks everyone for being patient with the delay."

Translation: "It wouldn't power back on after we powered it off." (been THERE before!)

Hehe, just teasin', guys. Hope to see y'all back soon. :)
