Mozilla 1.4 Release Candidate 1 Now Available

Mozilla 1.4 Release Candidate 1 began shipping today. mozilla.org is making release candidates of 1.4 available to ensure a high quality product that can replace the Mozilla 1.0 branch as the stable development path. Builds can be downloaded from the mozilla.org Releases page or direct from the mozilla1.4rc1 directory on ftp.mozilla.org. More information is available in the Mozilla 1.4 RC-1 Release Notes. The final version of Mozilla 1.4 should be available shortly.

This is about as far as you can get from the truth. You can disable JS on a per-site basis as long as you're willing to do it by hand; this capability has been there for years. See <http://www.mozilla.org/pr…figPolicy.html#jspolicies> for details.
