Gerald Bauer writes in with news that the Open XUL Alliance site has launched. The site aims promote XUL and encourage interoperability with a collection of XUL news articles, mailing lists and links.

It's very simple. If it is compatible with the XUL 1.0 specifcation then it is XUL. If it is incompatible with that spec. it's not XUL, any more than it is Xforms or HTML, even if some of the tags look the same, and it has a similar purpose. In fact, it's particuarly not XUL if it almost but not quite does the same thing. Calling different things by the same name doesn't benefit anyone. Clear?
