Gerald Bauer writes in with news that the Open XUL Alliance site has launched. The site aims promote XUL and encourage interoperability with a collection of XUL news articles, mailing lists and links.

If it's an acronym you need to describe all XML UI languages, why don't you use XUIL as a generic identifier then, since it is actually an acronym for "XML UI Language" and isn't currently used to identify a specific markup language?
This isn't about control or about restricting your ability to create XML UI languages. Create away. The problem is that you are genuinely confusing people by co-opting XUL as a generic term.
