More Mozilla 1.3.1 Candidate Builds Available

Friday April 25th, 2003

In a newsgroup posting, Asa Dotzler writes: "New round of builds available. Mostly the same with a couple of trunk security fixes included. If no regressions are found we intend to release these bits as Mozilla 1.3.1 early next week. If you can help us test and find any problems, please get the builds below and email drivers@mozilla.org if you find any regressions over Mozilla 1.3."

Builds are available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. See the previous article for information about the fixes in 1.3.1 and where to focus your testing.

#2 File Not Found Issues

Ever since I installed v1.3 I'm having trouble with broken graphics and general 404 issues. For instance, when I submit a quick vote on CNN it comes up File Not Found. Also, graphics links are broken on some sites yet IE loads them fine. I installed v1.4a hoping it would go away but I'm still getting 404's. Anyone else having problems like this?

Xerxes, a related bug is 183208, "Click vote under poll on cnn.com. Nothing is displayed" http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183208 . The current status is unconfirmed, but it's a 1.2.1 bug, possibly fixed according to comments.

It works well for me with Mozilla 1.3 and Windows 98. I've just tested it with the SARS vs. travel QuickVote at cnn.com.
