Mozilla 1.3 Released

Thursday March 13th, 2003

Mozilla 1.3 is now available for download. This release features many Mail & Newsgroups enhancements, including Bayesian spam classification, message views and more sophisticated filtering options. Also new is automatic image resizing, which shrinks large images so that they fit on screen, and you can now switch profiles without restarting (Tools > Switch Profile...). In addition, Mozilla 1.3 offers an initial implementation of Midas, an API that provides rich text editing controls for documents. There's also almost 2,000 other bug fixes. Check out the Release Notes for more information and grab a build from the Releases Page or FTP site.

Are these builds trying to be discouraged? The betas stopped showing them in the release notes, and now the build isn't even available... anyone know when they might turn up? Someone said there were a large number of bugs filed against it, but it looks great to me, and works as well as the other version. I don't think I can go back! :)
