Again I would like to raise the question, why there are no talkback-enabled tar distributions while there are talkback-enabled zip distributions for windows? I would like to use talkback enabled builds, but I do not want to use the installer - untarring the whole thing into the destination dir is a lot more easy, quicker, does not need user intervention and can be automated.
So could anybody comment on this?

I second this, I never used the installer (and never will) but if a crash occured which I could not reproduce then it is impossible to send a decent bug report.

The redhat rpms install fine but when I run mozilla it exitits immediately without generating any display whatsoever.
Running mozilla -v at the command line produces:
Mozilla 1.3b, Copyright (c) 2003 mozilla.org, build 2003021120
Indicating that it does start up but.... it won't run! :(
Am I doing something wrone?

There was a bug in 1.2.1 that made mozilla behave like this and I think it's the same for this version. I hade the same problem.
Test if mozilla starts if you run as root. If it does you have to change the access permissions for the subdirectories in the mozilla directory (/usr/local/mozilla). Set it so that "other" can enter and read the directories.
