#62 How about it if they fix mail/news?

In moving forward, how about it if the mail/news team forget about features and just get the program debugged. mail/news has far more bugs than any other part of Mozilla and they never seem to get fixed. Every other new version of mail/news re-introduces bugs (editor bugs are the most common) that were fixed in the previous version. I set my mother up to use Mozilla 1.2 but mail is so broken (it now hangs every time she tries to send mail, or open the address book) for her that I need to move her back to 1.0 just to get something that works. And if that fails, then it's back to Outlook.

Mail/News is the only part of Mozilla that really needs to take a breather and fix the problems before it tries to do anything else. The rest of Mozilla is the fine; none of the problems that mail/news has. Every major version gets more stable and works better.
