Honey, Hyatt's Coming Round for Christmas Dinner!
Tuesday December 24th, 2002
For our last poll, we asked you which Mozilla developer you would most like to have round for Christmas dinner. The poll provoked a large response, with many of the more insecure candidates campaigning vigorously for themselves (or in Asa's case, someone else). There was controversy just a few hours into the poll when a crazed Pavlov fan voted for the late replacement candidate over 300 times. However, this rigging was noticed and Stuart's vote count was reduced back to its former level of 58 before voting continued (though Pav claims it should have been 63). In all, 1,494 legitimate votes were cast.
The poll was close but David Hyatt finished as the clear winner with 21% of the vote. You'd better make sure that you've got some apples on your Christmas menu then. Second place went to Asa Dotzler (16%) with Ian Hickson finishing third (13%). 10% of you voted for Chris Blizzard, while Blake Ross received 8% of the vote. Stuart Parmenter, who entered the poll as a replacement candidate shortly after it started, was the choice of 8% of voters. Token Canadian Mike Shaver also got an 8% vote share. Finally, Ian Oeschger (4%) just beat Seth Spitzer (3%), while Ben Goodger (3%) can take solace in the fact that it was only a stupid poll. Allegedly.
For our final poll of the year, we'd like to know what you think was the most significant Mozilla event of 2002 (we're banking on nothing major happening during the final week). Vote, watch the latest results, and Happy Holidays to you all.
#3 never mind, duh...found it.
