Capital One Now Supports Mozilla

Thursday November 21st, 2002

According to reports, the website of US-based credit card company Capital One now supports Mozilla. Capital One's lack of support was the subject of a recent Ask Slashdot article; the latest Slashback features an update on the situation. For more information about which financial institutions support Mozilla, see the Blue Labs Software Financial Institutions and Mozilla Operability page (it's currently Slashdotted so you may want to view Google's cache instead).

Thank you for your message regarding using Netscape 6.1. Netscape 6 and 6.1 is not supported for use with Citigroup Products. It is not an upgrade to 4.7 series. It is a completely new version built from scratch. It is a very unstable browser and almost universally unsupported.

The Netscape web site is promoting the release of Netscape 6 and 6.1. This browser has too many issues with security and JavaScript, subsequently, the browser is not supported in its current state.

You can use the following version's of Netscape:

-Netscape Navigator 4.06 -Netscape Navigator 4.08 -Netscape Communicator 4.5 -Netscape Communicator 4.61 -Netscape Communicator 4.70 - 4.79 -Netscape Communicator 6.2 - SSB Access Only -Does not support Bill payment or trading.
