Capital One Now Supports Mozilla

Thursday November 21st, 2002

According to reports, the website of US-based credit card company Capital One now supports Mozilla. Capital One's lack of support was the subject of a recent Ask Slashdot article; the latest Slashback features an update on the situation. For more information about which financial institutions support Mozilla, see the Blue Labs Software Financial Institutions and Mozilla Operability page (it's currently Slashdotted so you may want to view Google's cache instead).

Let's face it: We all know that Geko-based browsers can't into lots of banking sites because they've made deals with Microsoft to shut them out. This Capital One credit card user is glad they're finally dropping the smoke screen & letting this Netscape 7.0 user in the door. It works fine with American Express' web site, and with PayPal's also. IE, you're becoming a distant memory. :-)
