Capital One Now Supports Mozilla

Thursday November 21st, 2002

According to reports, the website of US-based credit card company Capital One now supports Mozilla. Capital One's lack of support was the subject of a recent Ask Slashdot article; the latest Slashback features an update on the situation. For more information about which financial institutions support Mozilla, see the Blue Labs Software Financial Institutions and Mozilla Operability page (it's currently Slashdotted so you may want to view Google's cache instead).

They didn't do this out of the goodness of their own heart. More & more customers were starting to complain, threatening to bolt and take their business elsewhere, and they didn't have a choice but to open up the gates to Mozilla. In short, it was about the bottom line. You'll never catch me giving those weasels a "Thank You" for doing what they did.
