New Forums Now Open!Tuesday November 5th, 2002We've got a new set of forums for you folks to use! The new forum software we are using is phpBB and we hope you like it. We've taken the opportunity to create some new forums, so check out the forums index and get posting. You'll need to register before you can post but you should find the new system much more flexible than the old Phorum-based one — you can even start your own polls if you think ours are lame! Finally, you can still view our old Talkback Forums but please don't try to post new articles there. Nice job guys! Now if only someone would finally update (or maybe better: completely remove) the fetchBuilds & screenshots area.... ;) ...another phpBB board. hey 'zine guys how about to style the whole thing to match the mozillazine look&feel? by now the new board seems out of place. apart from thsi the site kick ass! If you're going to mail passwords in the clear, at least have the decency to tell users up front about it..... (and yes, I know none of these pages are using SSL. We're talking protection from over-the-shoulder-snoopers here, not from someone actually trying to get the password). "Finally, you can still view our old Talkback Forums" - nice, if it would work... I wanted to look up if anyone ever answered to a message I posted some days ago, I just don't find the message anywhere because old forums are down now :( "I wanted to look up if anyone ever answered to a message I posted some days ago, I just don't find the message anywhere because old forums are down now :(" They're back now. http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback/ Alex "You must be a MozillaZine member to post." I am a MozillaZine member (click my user profile link for proof), and my MZ login and password work just fine in the forums attached to front-page articles, but they seem not to work elsewhere. What am I doing wrong? "my MZ login and password work just fine in the forums attached to front-page articles, but they seem not to work elsewhere. What am I doing wrong?" You have to register separately for the forums because it's a different system to the article talkbacks. You can use the same login and password though (assuming your chosen login hasn't been taken by someone else). Sorry, should have mentioned that. Alex |
