Mozilla Firefox 3.0.3 Fixes Password Manager RegressionTuesday September 30th, 2008The Mozilla Corporation has released Mozilla Firefox 3.0.3. This upgrade has been rushed out to fix a regression introduced in Firefox 3.0.2, which caused issues with retrieving saved passwords and saving new passwords (bug 454708). Firefox 3.0.3 is being distributed to existing Firefox users via the browser's software update feature. The release can also be downloaded from the Firefox product page. Further details are available in the Firefox 3.0.3 Release Notes. Some people can yet have the problem in firefox 3.0.3 A 3.0.4 version is coming (see bug 457358 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=457358) I only have the problem if I am downloading addons. &c., featured on the main-site (for Firefox 3.0.5, Thunderbird 2.0.19, Sunbird 0.9); if I want to download 'for older versions' or 'experimental' addons, One has to logon---and I just *can't*!!! I have reset the password, I have changed the mailto:, I opened a second account!!!! I tap in the username, tap in the password (if I am using Firefox 'Safe Mode'), check[or not] "Remember me on this machine"---it whisks me back to the page I was on... which says "Register/Log On". ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!! ==(*sob*)==== ----- Maetel of La Metalle. ---Power corrupts. ---Absolute power is kind of neat... |
