Mozilla 1.1alpha Plans

Thursday May 30th, 2002

David Baron has posted a Mozilla 1.1alpha update to netscape.public.mozilla.seamonkey. He notes that the release has slipped a bit due to work on the 1.0 branch and that drivers@mozilla.org is anxious to prevent any further delays. Therefore, the freeze for 1.1alpha will occur at midnight Pacific Daylight Time on Wednesday 5th June. The Roadmap has been updated to reflect the slippage.

I've created a group bookmark consisting of pages on 6 tabs. The bookmark group loads fine, but then the CPU usage of mozilla.exe is always about 20-25%, even though I am doing nothing with Moz (or even if it is obstructed from view by other apps or minimized).

I understand that there maybe animations running or flash movies or whatever, but they should be turned off when mozilla is either completed obstructed from view or minimized.

Or is the cause of this problem something else? I am using WinNT on p3/600mhz
