Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidate 2 Coming Soon

Friday May 10th, 2002

Mitchell Baker writes: "In response to the feedback from RC1, we've decided to release an additional cycle of changes as a Release Candidate 2 (RC2). Stay tuned."

Mitchell's newsgroup posting has more details. The Roadmap has also been updated with information about the RC2 release.

I'm definitely in favour of this; there are a few fairly trivial-looking bugs remaining that would have a disproportionate effect on the user-experience. (Of course just because they look trivial to me doesn't mean they are...)

Thanks for keeping us informed Mitchell.

#2 RC3

there's an RC3 tracking bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143200

remember, presimably, RC3 may or may not happen; after the dependencies on this tracker bug get resolved, the release may be called RC3 or it may be called 1.0

#3 Looks like soon is now
