Mozilla 0.9.9 Released
Monday March 11th, 2002
mozilla.org today released what will be the last major milestone prior to 1.0, Mozilla 0.9.9. New features in this release include TrueType font support on Unix, SOAP support enabled, MathML support enabled on platforms that support it, new Print Preview toolbar, new Full Screen mode on windows, new popup window preferences, a fix for the zlib vulnerablility on Linux, and more.
With 0.9.9 out the door, the focus turns to the first release candidate of Mozilla 1.0, due later this month, or in early april. Also, expect numerous vendors to release product off the 1.0 branch including possibly Netscape and OEOne. We are working on setting up special Mozilla 1.0 forums, and should have them up by the end of today.
#83 real player plug -in problem

At first I installed a new Mozilla version in a fresh directory and then reinstalled for example the real player. The effect of these, as it looked to me, was that one or two files (for example nppl3260.dll) was added to the directory components c.q. plugins. The files that where added were exact copies of the files in similar directories of earlier versions. To overcome the needed reinstallation of real player over and over again I figured out that just copying those files before and/or after the installation would be all that is needed. For whatever reason this sometimes works and sometimes it does not.
Is there any place I can find information of how Mozilla sees what plugins it has and what files are needed and in what directory. Or Is there a way to install a new version of Mozilla while "copying" all plugins from a previous version?
