#1 So far so good-MacOS X 10.3.9

So far after about 10 minutes of use, SeaMonkey 1.1.1 appears to be a good release. Nothing strange. No lost profile.

As with any release, just to be safe, back up your profile folder before lanching a new update of SeaMonkey for the first time. Don't trash SeaMonkey 1.1 yet, just in case a bug may be found in version 1.1 which may necessitate a roll back to the earlier version.

Thanks to the developers for a timely security fix. Go get it.

according to: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/qa/ This friday 3.16.2007 is a "test day" for TB-2.0

They say: "...Thunderbird 2 is at zarro bugs, and we're going to treat the nightly branch build as an informal RC so we can gather feedback on the release..."

so TB-2.0 final it is gettting closer each week, but is still a little ways off it looks like.

You might wish to look at: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Current_QA_TestDay

NOTE! the above link is for TESTING some builds only.. there are no release candidates yet, just some that are getting close ("Thunderbird 2 Release Candidate Builds: * We are still waiting for official RC builds. Until they are available, please use the latest nightly builds...")

Sounds like they ar not yet even at RC1, but are getting "close" to an RC-1...

according to: http://www.techspot.com/news/24832-thunderbird-20-rc1-expected-this-week.html (which came out on April.3.2007) they say: "Thunderbird 2.0 RC1 expected this week".

that is just a release CANDIDATE (not the "final" release, not yet anyways).

keep those fingers crosssed :) getting closer every week.
