New Open Scripting Architecture

This seems very similar to using JScript in Windows Scripting Host. JScript is basically JavaScript with MS extensions. Yet, VBScript is the more popular counterpart to JScript, much like Applescript is on the Mac.

Yes, that sounds similar. Other OSA components are available, as well, such as Perl and Tcl. See <<http://www.applescriptsou….com/links/languages.html>>.

So, yes, you too can script your Mac in Perl. X-P
