New Automated Smoketests

Tuesday September 11th, 2001

Asa Dotzler writes in: "Peter Jeziorek has created a set of automated smoketests, for anyone to use. Smoketests are run daily to find regressions in daily builds, and can take anywhere from 30 min to 3 hours, depending on the situation. Peter's tests allow the majority of tests to be run in under 5 min, allowing for developers to be able to do a quick run through the smoketests to find regressions before checking into the tree."

I updated the page today... including auto-installers, fixed mail and a few other testcases, and put on more information on how to contribute to the project. See the Test Writer column.

Also updating Asa's link on how to create testcases. go here: <http://komodo.mozilla.org…cript/writeTestcases.html>
