Towards Mozilla 1.0
Tuesday June 26th, 2001
Gervase Markham recently posted his feelings on what a 1.0 release of Mozilla would be. Gerv has sent us the follow-up to that posting, including much of the feedback he received. To read it, click the full article link. Once you have read through it, we welcome you to post your feelings on what you think a 1.0 release would have. [As Gerv says, please don't post your favorite list of bugs, only the criteria for choosing what bugs to fix.]

Gerv mentions that 100% GNKSA compliance might be a good goal, and says that the relevant tracking bug is <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76449> . That bug is actually for minimal GNKSA compliance, not 100%. 100% compliance is tracked by <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12699>
Just a minor correction. 100% GNKSA compliance would be an admirable goal for 1.0.
Given the pace of work so far on the relevant bugs, I'm not sure that it could be achieved in a reasonable amount of time. Then again, if it was a requirement for 1.0 they might get more attention and get fixed much faster.
